Save Our Green Belt…Again!
Farnham Royal Parish Council has as one of its priorities the protection of the Parish’s Green Belt land. Berkeley Homes have submitted an outline application for planning on Green Belt land within the Parish.
Application PL/26/02558/OA is for up to 80 dwellings on over 11 acres of Green Belt land between Beaconsfield Road (A355), Purton Lane and Parsonage Lane. This would have a major impact on the Parish’s already stretched infrastructure, utilities and services. Your Parish Council believes Berkeley Homes’ assertion that the site is in fact “Grey Belt” land to support their application is tenuous at best.
Farnham Royal Parish Council has objected to this outline application based on the following points.
1) Under all criteria, including Buckinghamshire Council’s own assessment, Farnham Royal Parish Council strongly believes the site is Green Belt land.
2) Part of the site is within the Burnham Beeches 500m exclusion zone. Burnham Beeches is a nationally important site and has been protected by enforcing the exclusion zone in all previous decisions on applications for developments in the Parish.
3) There is no large scale investment in highways access, water and sewerage management or medical or leisure facilities within the Parish.
If you feel strongly about this application, we urge you to register your comments on Buckinghamshire Council’s planning system (https://publicaccess.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/online…/) or write directly to the Planning Officer (planning.comments.csb@buckinghamshire.gov.uk). Please use the reference PL/26/02558/OA in all correspondence.
Your Parish Council will keep all updated as further information becomes available.
